Today I was on the phone with my best friend talking about depression. It’s something more people should talk about. Both of us have had it. Well, I’m going through it now and finally got help to bring me out of it.

But he made an excellent point that sorta made me laugh. Generally, people who have continued their education and have a certain level of intelligence over-think things. There are a lot of things in this world to be happy about, but if you think about it a lot, there are also a lot of things to be really sad about. The over-thinking has been my downfall lately, and I’m trying to learn how to just let things go.

But of course, Daniel put it an excellent way. “Life is a lot like the hotdog that you get at a ballpark. It can be really fucking amazing if you don’t think too much about what’s inside that hotdog.” God how I miss having Daniel around.
